CVE-2023-53721 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath12k: Fix a NULL pointer dereference in ath12k_mac_op_hw_scan() In ath12k_mac_op_hw_scan(), the return value of kzalloc() is directly used in memcpy(), which may lead to a NULL pointer dereference on failure of kzalloc(). Fix this bug by adding a check of arg.extraie.ptr. Tested-on: WCN7850 hw2.0 PCI WLAN.HMT.1.0-03427-QCAHMTSWPL_V1.0_V2.0_SILICONZ-1.15378.4
CVE-2023-53719 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: arc_uart: fix of_iomap leak in `arc_serial_probe` Smatch reports: drivers/tty/serial/arc_uart.c:631 arc_serial_probe() warn: 'port->membase' from of_iomap() not released on lines: 631. In arc_serial_probe(), if uart_add_one_port() fails, port->membase is not released, which would cause a resource leak. To fix this, I replace of_iomap with devm_platform_ioremap_resource.
CVE-2025-39999 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: fix blk_mq_tags double free while nr_requests grown In the case user trigger tags grow by queue sysfs attribute nr_requests, hctx->sched_tags will be freed directly and replaced with a new allocated tags, see blk_mq_tag_update_depth(). The problem is that hctx->sched_tags is from elevator->et->tags, while et->tags is still the freed tags, hence later elevator exit will try to free the tags again, causing kernel panic. Fix this problem by replacing et->tags with new allocated tags as well. Noted there are still some long term problems that will require some refactor to be fixed thoroughly[1]. CVE-2023-53717 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: Fix potential stack-out-of-bounds write in ath9k_wmi_rsp_callback() Fix a stack-out-of-bounds write that occurs in a WMI response callback function that is called after a timeout occurs in ath9k_wmi_cmd(). The callback writes to wmi->cmd_rsp_buf, a stack-allocated buffer that could no longer be valid when a timeout occurs. Set wmi->last_seq_id to 0 when a timeout occurred. Found by a modified version of syzkaller. BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in ath9k_wmi_ctrl_rx Write of size 4 Call Trace: memcpy ath9k_wmi_ctrl_rx ath9k_htc_rx_msg ath9k_hif_usb_reg_in_cb __usb_hcd_giveback_urb usb_hcd_giveback_urb dummy_timer call_timer_fn run_timer_softirq __do_softirq irq_exit_rcu sysvec_apic_timer_interrupt

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/stm: ltdc: fix late dereference check In ltdc_crtc_set_crc_source(), struct drm_crtc was dereferenced in a container_of() before the pointer check. This could cause a kernel panic. Fix this smatch warning: drivers/gpu/drm/stm/ltdc.c:1124 ltdc_crtc_set_crc_source() warn: variable dereferenced before check 'crtc' (see line 1119)
CVE-2023-53711 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: Fix a potential data corruption We must ensure that the subrequests are joined back into the head before we can retransmit a request. If the head was not on the commit lists, because the server wrote it synchronously, we still need to add it back to the retransmission list. Add a call that mirrors the effect of nfs_cancel_remove_inode() for O_DIRECT.
CVE-2025-39971 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i40e: fix idx validation in config queues msg Ensure idx is within range of active/initialized TCs when iterating over vf->ch[idx] in i40e_vc_config_queues_msg().
CVE-2025-40259 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: sg: Do not sleep in atomic context sg_finish_rem_req() calls blk_rq_unmap_user(). The latter function may sleep. Hence, call sg_finish_rem_req() with interrupts enabled instead of disabled.
CVE-2025-37186 2 Hp, Linux 2 Aruba Virtual Intranet Access, Linux 2026-04-15 7.8 High
A local privilege-escalation vulnerability has been discovered in the HPE Aruba Networking Virtual Intranet Access (VIA) client. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow a local attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution with root privileges.
CVE-2025-40240 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: avoid NULL dereference when chunk data buffer is missing chunk->skb pointer is dereferenced in the if-block where it's supposed to be NULL only. chunk->skb can only be NULL if chunk->head_skb is not. Check for frag_list instead and do it just before replacing chunk->skb. We're sure that otherwise chunk->skb is non-NULL because of outer if() condition.
CVE-2025-68370 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: coresight: tmc: add the handle of the event to the path The handle is essential for retrieving the AUX_EVENT of each CPU and is required in perf mode. It has been added to the coresight_path so that dependent devices can access it from the path when needed. The existing bug can be reproduced with: perf record -e cs_etm//k -C 0-9 dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/null Showing an oops as follows: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 000f6e84934ed19e Call trace: tmc_etr_get_buffer+0x30/0x80 [coresight_tmc] (P) catu_enable_hw+0xbc/0x3d0 [coresight_catu] catu_enable+0x70/0xe0 [coresight_catu] coresight_enable_path+0xb0/0x258 [coresight]
CVE-2025-40201 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kernel/sys.c: fix the racy usage of task_lock(tsk->group_leader) in sys_prlimit64() paths The usage of task_lock(tsk->group_leader) in sys_prlimit64()->do_prlimit() path is very broken. sys_prlimit64() does get_task_struct(tsk) but this only protects task_struct itself. If tsk != current and tsk is not a leader, this process can exit/exec and task_lock(tsk->group_leader) may use the already freed task_struct. Another problem is that sys_prlimit64() can race with mt-exec which changes ->group_leader. In this case do_prlimit() may take the wrong lock, or (worse) ->group_leader may change between task_lock() and task_unlock(). Change sys_prlimit64() to take tasklist_lock when necessary. This is not nice, but I don't see a better fix for -stable.
CVE-2025-40207 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: v4l2-subdev: Fix alloc failure check in v4l2_subdev_call_state_try() v4l2_subdev_call_state_try() macro allocates a subdev state with __v4l2_subdev_state_alloc(), but does not check the returned value. If __v4l2_subdev_state_alloc fails, it returns an ERR_PTR, and that would cause v4l2_subdev_call_state_try() to crash. Add proper error handling to v4l2_subdev_call_state_try().
