| CVE-2008-2663 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| Multiple integer overflows in the rb_ary_store function in Ruby 1.8.4 and earlier, 1.8.5 before 1.8.5-p231, 1.8.6 before 1.8.6-p230, and 1.8.7 before 1.8.7-p22 allow context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service via unknown vectors, a different issue than CVE-2008-2662, CVE-2008-2664, and CVE-2008-2725. NOTE: as of 20080624, there has been inconsistent usage of multiple CVE identifiers related to Ruby. The CVE description should be regarded as authoritative, although it is likely to change. | ||||
| CVE-2008-3905 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 2 Enterprise Linux, Ruby | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| resolv.rb in Ruby 1.8.5 and earlier, 1.8.6 before 1.8.6-p287, 1.8.7 before 1.8.7-p72, and 1.9 r18423 and earlier uses sequential transaction IDs and constant source ports for DNS requests, which makes it easier for remote attackers to spoof DNS responses, a different vulnerability than CVE-2008-1447. | ||||
| CVE-2007-5162 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 2 Enterprise Linux, Ruby | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The connect method in lib/net/http.rb in the (1) Net::HTTP and (2) Net::HTTPS libraries in Ruby 1.8.5 and 1.8.6 does not verify that the commonName (CN) field in a server certificate matches the domain name in an HTTPS request, which makes it easier for remote attackers to intercept SSL transmissions via a man-in-the-middle attack or spoofed web site. | ||||
| CVE-2009-4124 | 1 Ruby-lang | 1 Ruby | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in the rb_str_justify function in string.c in Ruby 1.9.1 before 1.9.1-p376 allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via unspecified vectors involving (1) String#ljust, (2) String#center, or (3) String#rjust. NOTE: some of these details are obtained from third party information. | ||||
| CVE-2008-3443 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 2 Enterprise Linux, Ruby | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The regular expression engine (regex.c) in Ruby 1.8.5 and earlier, 1.8.6 through 1.8.6-p286, 1.8.7 through 1.8.7-p71, and 1.9 through r18423 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop and crash) via multiple long requests to a Ruby socket, related to memory allocation failure, and as demonstrated against Webrick. | ||||
| CVE-2008-2376 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 3 Enterprise Linux, Fedora 8, Ruby | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| Integer overflow in the rb_ary_fill function in array.c in Ruby before revision 17756 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a call to the Array#fill method with a start (aka beg) argument greater than ARY_MAX_SIZE. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for other closely related integer overflows. | ||||
| CVE-2008-3655 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 2 Enterprise Linux, Ruby | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| Ruby 1.8.5 and earlier, 1.8.6 through 1.8.6-p286, 1.8.7 through 1.8.7-p71, and 1.9 through r18423 does not properly restrict access to critical variables and methods at various safe levels, which allows context-dependent attackers to bypass intended access restrictions via (1) untrace_var, (2) $PROGRAM_NAME, and (3) syslog at safe level 4, and (4) insecure methods at safe levels 1 through 3. | ||||
| CVE-2007-5770 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 2 Enterprise Linux, Ruby | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The (1) Net::ftptls, (2) Net::telnets, (3) Net::imap, (4) Net::pop, and (5) Net::smtp libraries in Ruby 1.8.5 and 1.8.6 do not verify that the commonName (CN) field in a server certificate matches the domain name in a request sent over SSL, which makes it easier for remote attackers to intercept SSL transmissions via a man-in-the-middle attack or spoofed web site, different components than CVE-2007-5162. | ||||
| CVE-2025-61594 | 1 Ruby-lang | 1 Uri | 2026-04-20 | 7.5 High |
| URI is a module providing classes to handle Uniform Resource Identifiers. In versions 0.12.4 and earlier (bundled in Ruby 3.2 series) 0.13.2 and earlier (bundled in Ruby 3.3 series), 1.0.3 and earlier (bundled in Ruby 3.4 series), when using the + operator to combine URIs, sensitive information like passwords from the original URI can be leaked, violating RFC3986 and making applications vulnerable to credential exposure. This is a a bypass for the fix to CVE-2025-27221 that can expose user credentials. This issue has been fixed in versions 0.12.5, 0.13.3 and 1.0.4. | ||||
| CVE-2024-27280 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 2 Enterprise Linux, Ruby | 2026-04-15 | 9.8 Critical |
| A buffer-overread issue was discovered in StringIO 3.0.1, as distributed in Ruby 3.0.x through 3.0.6 and 3.1.x through 3.1.4. The ungetbyte and ungetc methods on a StringIO can read past the end of a string, and a subsequent call to StringIO.gets may return the memory value. 3.0.3 is the main fixed version; however, for Ruby 3.0 users, a fixed version is stringio 3.0.1.1, and for Ruby 3.1 users, a fixed version is stringio 3.0.1.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-33210 | 2 Ruby, Ruby-lang | 2 Json, Json | 2026-03-29 | 9.1 Critical |
| Ruby JSON is a JSON implementation for Ruby. From version 2.14.0 to before versions 2.15.2.1, 2.17.1.2, and 2.19.2, a format string injection vulnerability can lead to denial of service attacks or information disclosure, when the allow_duplicate_key: false parsing option is used to parse user supplied documents. This issue has been patched in versions 2.15.2.1, 2.17.1.2, and 2.19.2. | ||||
| CVE-2025-43857 | 1 Ruby-lang | 1 Net\ | 2025-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
| Net::IMAP implements Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) client functionality in Ruby. Prior to versions 0.5.7, 0.4.20, 0.3.9, and 0.2.5, there is a possibility for denial of service by memory exhaustion when net-imap reads server responses. At any time while the client is connected, a malicious server can send can send a "literal" byte count, which is automatically read by the client's receiver thread. The response reader immediately allocates memory for the number of bytes indicated by the server response. This should not be an issue when securely connecting to trusted IMAP servers that are well-behaved. It can affect insecure connections and buggy, untrusted, or compromised servers (for example, connecting to a user supplied hostname). This issue has been patched in versions 0.5.7, 0.4.20, 0.3.9, and 0.2.5. | ||||
| CVE-2023-36617 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 2 Enterprise Linux, Uri | 2025-11-04 | 5.3 Medium |
| A ReDoS issue was discovered in the URI component before 0.12.2 for Ruby. The URI parser mishandles invalid URLs that have specific characters. There is an increase in execution time for parsing strings to URI objects with rfc2396_parser.rb and rfc3986_parser.rb. NOTE: this issue exists becuse of an incomplete fix for CVE-2023-28755. Version 0.10.3 is also a fixed version. | ||||
| CVE-2023-28755 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2025-11-04 | 5.3 Medium |
| A ReDoS issue was discovered in the URI component through 0.12.0 in Ruby through 3.2.1. The URI parser mishandles invalid URLs that have specific characters. It causes an increase in execution time for parsing strings to URI objects. The fixed versions are 0.12.1, 0.11.1, 0.10.2 and 0.10.0.1. | ||||
| CVE-2023-28756 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 3 more | 2025-11-04 | 5.3 Medium |
| A ReDoS issue was discovered in the Time component through 0.2.1 in Ruby through 3.2.1. The Time parser mishandles invalid URLs that have specific characters. It causes an increase in execution time for parsing strings to Time objects. The fixed versions are 0.1.1 and 0.2.2. | ||||
| CVE-2022-28739 | 4 Apple, Debian, Redhat and 1 more | 5 Macos, Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2025-11-04 | 7.5 High |
| There is a buffer over-read in Ruby before 2.6.10, 2.7.x before 2.7.6, 3.x before 3.0.4, and 3.1.x before 3.1.2. It occurs in String-to-Float conversion, including Kernel#Float and String#to_f. | ||||
| CVE-2021-33621 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Ruby-lang | 6 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus and 3 more | 2025-11-04 | 8.8 High |
| The cgi gem before 0.1.0.2, 0.2.x before 0.2.2, and 0.3.x before 0.3.5 for Ruby allows HTTP response splitting. This is relevant to applications that use untrusted user input either to generate an HTTP response or to create a CGI::Cookie object. | ||||
| CVE-2025-27221 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 2 Enterprise Linux, Uri | 2025-11-03 | 3.2 Low |
| In the URI gem before 1.0.3 for Ruby, the URI handling methods (URI.join, URI#merge, URI#+) have an inadvertent leakage of authentication credentials because userinfo is retained even after changing the host. | ||||
| CVE-2025-27220 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 3 Enterprise Linux, Cgi, Ruby | 2025-11-03 | 4 Medium |
| In the CGI gem before 0.4.2 for Ruby, a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) vulnerability exists in the Util#escapeElement method. | ||||
| CVE-2025-27219 | 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang | 2 Enterprise Linux, Cgi | 2025-11-03 | 5.8 Medium |
| In the CGI gem before 0.4.2 for Ruby, the CGI::Cookie.parse method in the CGI library contains a potential Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability. The method does not impose any limit on the length of the raw cookie value it processes. This oversight can lead to excessive resource consumption when parsing extremely large cookies. | ||||
