CVE-2026-58081 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2026-08-31 9.8 Critical
Several encoding modules, including HZ, UTF-7, VIQR, and ZW, did not properly check the size of the caller-supplied output buffer before writing converted characters. An application that uses iconv(3) to convert untrusted input to or from one of the affected encodings may be vulnerable to buffer overflows if it uses one of the affected encoding modules.
CVE-2026-79231 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-08-31 8.8 High
Buffer overflow in Media in Google Chrome prior to 152.0.7977.65 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
CVE-2026-38347 1 Ffmpeg 1 Ffmpeg 2026-08-31 7.5 High
A heap overflow in the ff_sws_alphablendaway function (libswscale/alphablend.c) of FFmpeg git-master commit 722a217 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
CVE-2026-48424 1 Adobe 1 Substance 3d Sampler 2026-08-31 7.8 High
Substance3D - Sampler is affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2026-48425 1 Adobe 1 Substance 3d Sampler 2026-08-31 7.8 High
Substance3D - Sampler is affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2026-75750 1 Adobe 1 Substance 3d Painter 2026-08-31 7.8 High
Substance3D - Painter is affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2026-75766 1 Adobe 1 Substance 3d Painter 2026-08-31 7.8 High
Substance3D - Painter is affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2026-75767 1 Adobe 1 Substance 3d Painter 2026-08-31 7.8 High
Substance3D - Painter is affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2026-75769 1 Adobe 1 Substance 3d Painter 2026-08-31 7.8 High
Substance3D - Painter is affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2026-12912 2 Libtiff, Redhat 11 Libtiff, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 8 more 2026-08-31 7.3 High
A flaw was found in libtiff. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing a specially crafted PixarLog-compressed TIFF image. This issue occurs when decoding Pixarlog codec images with the PIXARLOGDATAFMT_8BITABGR output format and a specific stride value, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. This could potentially result in arbitrary code execution or a denial of service (DoS).
CVE-2026-56208 2 Aomedia, Redhat 14 Libaom, Ai Inference Server, Enterprise Linux and 11 more 2026-08-31 7.6 High
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A flaw in the AV1 encoder's Look-Ahead Processing (LAP) mode causes the first-pass stats ring buffer wrap-around guard to be bypassed when g_lag_in_frames is set to 1 or higher. This results in a 232-byte out-of-bounds write on every encoded frame after the second, corrupting adjacent heap objects. An attacker who can influence encoder configuration in a transcoding service or WebRTC session could exploit this to cause a denial of service (process crash) or potentially achieve code execution.
CVE-2026-19385 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2026-08-29 8.8 High
Heap buffer overflow in PostgreSQL pg_dump of long function transform lists allows an object creator to execute arbitrary code as the operating system user running pg_dump, via a crafted transform list. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 are affected.
CVE-2026-14676 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2026-08-29 8.8 High
Heap buffer overflow in PostgreSQL pg_stat_statements allows the query author to execute arbitrary code as the operating system user running the database, via crafted queries containing array constants. Within major version 18, minor versions before PostgreSQL 18.6 are affected. Versions before PostgreSQL 18 are unaffected.
CVE-2026-14670 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2026-08-29 8.8 High
Heap buffer overflow in PostgreSQL plperl return of a tied hash allows the function owner to execute arbitrary code as the operating system user running the database, via a crafted function body. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 are affected.
CVE-2026-14669 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2026-08-29 8.8 High
Heap buffer overflow in PostgreSQL to_char(timestamptz) allows the party choosing the timezone to execute arbitrary code as the operating system user running the database, via a long POSIX timezone abbreviation. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 are affected.
