Windows Event Tracing Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability
CVE-2026-71476 1 Nrwl 1 Nx 2026-08-08 9.6 Critical
Nx is a monorepo solution for TypeScript and polyglot codebases. From version 20.8.0 until 22.7.7 and 23.0.2, the Nx self-hosted HTTP remote cache extracts downloaded cache artifacts without constraining where files are written. A malicious or on-path (MITM) remote cache server can return a crafted tar archive whose entries escape the cache directory and write to arbitrary locations on the machine running Nx, which can be escalated to remote code execution. Nx's default local cache and Nx Cloud are not affected; only workspaces configured to use a self-hosted remote cache are affected. This issue is fixed in versions 22.7.7 and 23.0.2.
CVE-2026-71556 1 Go-git 1 Go-git 2026-08-07 7.1 High
go-git is an extensible git implementation library written in pure Go. Prior to 5.19.2 and 6.0.0-alpha.5, worktree operations (including checkout, status, and add) resolve symbolic links inside the working tree without confining resolution to the worktree boundary, so a maliciously crafted repository containing a symlink can cause go-git to read from or write to files outside the intended working directory when the repository is cloned and its worktree operations are used. Versions 5.19.2 and 6.0.0-alpha.5.
CVE-2026-19008 1 Mf-yang 1 Openclaw-cn 2026-08-06 6.3 Medium
A vulnerability was identified in mf-yang openclaw-cn up to 0.2.1. This issue affects the function assertNoSymlinkEscape of the file src/agents/sandbox-paths.ts of the component apply_patch Tool. Such manipulation leads to link following. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
CVE-2026-12410 1 Gen Digital 1 Ccleaner 2026-08-05 7.8 High
Link following vulnerability in the Uninstaller component in CCleaner prior to 7.10.1464 on Windows allows a local, low-privileged attacker to escalate privileges to SYSTEM via a symlink/junction created during application uninstallation, which CCleaner follows when deleting the application's data folder with elevated integrity.
CVE-2026-40717 1 Dell 49 Aw2526hl, Aw2725dm, Aw2726dl and 46 more 2026-08-05 6.6 Medium
Dell Monitor driver, version 1.0.0.0, contains an Improper Link Resolution Before File Access ('Link Following') vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Elevation of Privileges.
CVE-2026-50526 4 Apple, Linux, Microsoft and 1 more 8 Macos, Linux Kernel, .net and 5 more 2026-08-05 7 High
Improper link resolution before file access ('link following') in .NET allows an authorized attacker to perform tampering locally.
CVE-2026-43765 1 Apple 1 Macos 2026-08-05 5.5 Medium
This issue was addressed with improved handling of symlinks. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6. An app may be able to modify protected parts of the file system.
CVE-2026-41121 1 Dell 1 Device Management Agent 2026-08-03 7.3 High
Dell Device Management Agent, versions prior to DDMA 26.05, contain an Improper Link Resolution Before File Access ('Link Following’) vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Elevation of Privileges.
CVE-2026-44269 1 Dell 2 Data Domain Operating System, Powerprotect Data Domain 2026-08-01 4.4 Medium
Dell PowerProtect Data Domain, versions 7.7.1.0 through 8.6, LTS2026 release version 8.6.1.0 through 8.6.1.10, LTS2025 release version 8.3.1.0 through 8.3.1.30, LTS2024 release versions 7.13.1.0 through 7.13.1.70 contain an improper link resolution before file access ('link following') vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to unauthorized access.
CVE-2026-46468 1 Dell 2 Data Domain Operating System, Powerprotect Data Domain 2026-08-01 4.4 Medium

A high privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to information exposure.
CVE-2026-54706 1 Onionshare 1 Onionshare 2026-07-31 4.8 Medium
OnionShare is an open source tool that lets you securely and anonymously share files, host websites, and chat with friends using the Tor network. Prior to 2.6.4, OnionShare CLI/Desktop follows symbolic links in cli/onionshare_cli/web/send_base_mode.py through SendBaseModeWeb.set_file_info() and stream_individual_file(), allowing remote recipients of Share or Website mode to read local files outside the selected directory. This issue is fixed in version 2.6.4.
CVE-2026-46464 1 Dell 2 Data Domain Operating System, Powerprotect Data Domain 2026-07-31 4.9 Medium
Dell PowerProtect Data Domain, versions 7.7.1.0 through 8.7, LTS2026 release version 8.6.1.0 through 8.6.1.10, LTS2025 release version 8.3.1.0 through 8.3.1.30, LTS2024 release versions 7.13.1.0 through 7.13.1.70 contain an improper link resolution before file access ('Link following') vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to information disclosure.
CVE-2026-61371 1 Microsoft 1 Avml 2026-07-31 7.5 High
Microsoft AVML before 0.17.0 could follow a symlink when opening a destination output path on Unix, allowing truncation/overwrite of the symlink target. The destructive effect is performed at open-time via O_TRUNC, and can happen before full input validation completes (“truncation-before-validation”).
CVE-2026-64616 1 Egor 1 Data::ndarray::shared 2026-07-30 3.3 Low
Data::NDArray::Shared versions before 0.02 for Perl create a world-readable mmap backing file and open it without O_EXCL or O_NOFOLLOW. The segment is created in ndarray.h with open(path, O_RDWR|O_CREAT, 0666). The mode is 0666, so under the default umask 022 the file is created mode 0644 (world-readable). O_NOFOLLOW is absent, so a symlink planted at the path is followed, and O_EXCL is absent, so the open silently uses a pre-planted file instead of failing. A "Shared" segment naturally lives in a shared directory such as /tmp or /dev/shm, where any local user can read the IPC payloads stored in the world-readable segment, and a pre-planted file or symlink at the path lets a local attacker win a pre-creation race or redirect the open.
CVE-2026-13723 1 Develar 1 App-builder 2026-07-30 6.5 Medium
A vulnerability in the `zipx.Unzip` extraction routine of Develar's app-builder allows an attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on macOS APFS by exploiting a Unicode Normalization Collision combined with symlink following behavior. APFS treats certain Unicode equivalent filenames as identical (e.g., ß ↔ ss), while app builder performs no canonical normalization before validating or writing paths. As a result, a crafted ZIP archive containing: • a symlink entry named ss pointing to a target file, and • a regular file named ß containing attacker controlled data, will cause the second write to follow the symlink and overwrite the target file.
