CVE-2026-10642 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-07-14 4.6 Medium
The Zephyr PL011 UART driver (drivers/serial/uart_pl011.c) contains an unbounded software loop in pl011_irq_tx_enable() that repeatedly invokes the interrupt-driven application callback while the TX interrupt mask bit (PL011_IMSC_TXIM) is set, to work around the controller's level-transition TX-interrupt behavior. When CTS hardware flow control is enabled (devicetree hw-flow-control or runtime UART_CFG_FLOW_CTRL_RTS_CTS) and the wired serial peer de-asserts CTS, the controller stops draining the TX FIFO; pl011_fifo_fill() then returns 0 on every call while the application still has pending data and therefore never disables the TX interrupt. The loop condition never clears, so the thread that called uart_irq_tx_enable() (e.g. h4_send() in the Bluetooth HCI H4 driver) spins indefinitely, hanging the executing context and stalling the transport — a denial of service (CWE-835). An attacker controlling the device attached to the UART's CTS line can trigger the hang by withholding CTS during transmission. Because that peer is the device wired to the UART — which may be a removable or external module (e.g. an off-board Bluetooth controller on the HCI H4 link) rather than a permanently-bonded on-PCB part — the attack vector is scored Adjacent (AV:A) rather than Physical; the security subcommittee should confirm the vector against the specific deployment. Impact is availability only; there is no memory-safety, confidentiality, or integrity consequence. The vulnerable loop was introduced in commit b783bc8448ef (Feb 2025) and shipped in releases v4.1.0 through v4.4.0. The fix breaks out of the loop when CTS is blocking and arms the CTS modem-status interrupt to resume transmission when CTS re-asserts.
CVE-2026-55865 1 Jg-rp 1 Liquid 2026-07-14 N/A
Python Liquid is a Python engine for the Liquid template language. Prior to 2.2.1, given a malformed {% case %} tag without an associated {% when %} or {% else %} block and no terminating {% endcase %} tag, Python Liquid hangs in an infinite loop at parse time because liquid.TokenStream.eof did not give the EOF token matching kind and value fields, allowing malicious template authors to craft templates for a denial of service attack. This issue is fixed in version 2.2.1.
CVE-2026-59874 1 Isaacs 1 Tar 2026-07-10 7.5 High
node-tar is a tar archive manipulation library for Node.js. Prior to 7.5.18, tar.replace accepts a checksum-valid tar header with a negative base-256 encoded entry size, causing the archive scanner to make no progress while repeatedly parsing the same header. This issue is fixed in version 7.5.18.
CVE-2026-59935 2 Py-pdf, Pypdf Project 2 Pypdf, Pypdf 2026-07-10 7.5 High
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.14.2, an attacker can craft a PDF with a page content stream containing a not terminated inline image that uses the ASCII85 or ASCIIHex filters, causing an infinite loop during parsing such as when extracting page text. This issue is fixed in version 6.14.2.
CVE-2026-54772 1 Corewcf 1 Corewcf 2026-07-09 7.5 High
CoreWCF is a port of the service side of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to .NET Core. Prior to 1.8.1 and 1.9.1, an unauthenticated remote attacker that can reach a NetTcpBinding, NetNamedPipeBinding, or UnixDomainSocketBinding endpoint can trigger premature EOF handling in the CoreWCF net.tcp, net.pipe, or net.uds framing handshake and pin one server thread-pool worker at full CPU per connection. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.1 and 1.9.1.
CVE-2026-15163 1 Wireshark 1 Wireshark 2026-07-09 5.5 Medium
Multiple protocol dissector infinite loops in Wireshark 4.6.0 to 4.6.6 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.16 allow denial of service
CVE-2026-59936 2 Py-pdf, Pypdf Project 2 Pypdf, Pypdf 2026-07-09 7.5 High
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.14.1, an attacker can craft a PDF with a page content stream containing a not terminated inline image, causing an infinite loop during inline image end marker detection such as when extracting page text. This issue is fixed in version 6.14.1.
CVE-2026-56289 1 Gnu 1 Patch 2026-07-09 5.5 Medium
GNU patch is vulnerable to a denial of service (DoS) due to improper validation of hunk (single block of changes in diff) line offsets in unified-diff input. A specially crafted patch can specify an extremely large line number, causing the application to enter an effectively infinite processing loop while attempting to locate the requested position. This results in excessive CPU consumption and prevents the process from completing. An attacker can trigger this behavior by supplying a malicious patch file, causing the utility to become unresponsive and require manual termination. This issue has been fixed in the commit faba04ef4f2b410257f76c1b9dc85e350929c4b9
CVE-2026-59927 2 Lepture, Mistune Project 2 Mistune, Mistune 2026-07-09 5.3 Medium
Mistune is a Python Markdown parser with renderers and plugins. Prior to 3.3.0, the Include directive in src/mistune/directives/include.py detects only direct self-includes and not indirect cycles, allowing two markdown files that include each other to trigger unbounded recursion, raise RecursionError, and crash the rendering request. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.0.
CVE-2026-59879 1 Immutable-js 2 Immutable, Immutable-js 2026-07-08 7.5 High
Immutable.js provides many Persistent Immutable data structures. Prior to 4.3.9 and 5.1.8, List#set, List#setSize, List#setIn, List#updateIn, and the functional set, setIn, and updateIn mishandle an index or size in the range 2 ** 30 to 2 ** 31 in setListBounds in src/List.js, causing an empty List to enter an uncatchable infinite loop, a populated List to allocate without bound until process abort, or setSize to silently wrap large values. This issue is fixed in versions 4.3.9 and 5.1.8.
CVE-2026-6684 2 Chan, Elm-chan 2 Fatfs, Fatfs 2026-07-06 4.6 Medium
FatFs prior to R0.16 that use GPT scanning with 'FF_LBA64 = 1' contains an issue where an unbounded loop count derived from GPT header field GPTH_PtNum, enabling extremely long or effectively infinite mount-time scans. This maps to CWE-835 (Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition). Estimated CVSS v3.1 vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:P/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H (4.6, Medium). The estimated CISA SSVC vectors are Exploitation: PoC, Technical Impact: Partial.
CVE-2026-11352 2 Curl, Haxx 2 Curl, Curl 2026-07-06 7.5 High
An issue in curl’s QUIC UDP receive function allows a malicious HTTP/3 server to trigger a remote denial of service against a curl or libcurl client. Because the helper function discards zero-length UDP datagrams before counting them toward the per-call packet budget, a connected QUIC peer can continuously stream empty datagrams to indefinitely stall the client.
CVE-2026-14651 1 Connorskees 1 Grass 2026-07-06 3.3 Low
A vulnerability has been found in connorskees grass up to 0.13.4. The impacted element is the function grass_compiler::selector::extend/grass_compiler::evaluate::visitor. The manipulation leads to denial of service. The attack must be carried out locally. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The project maintainer explains: "DoS vulnerabilities are generally fine in Sass compilers -- they are trivially possible with recursive functions, infinite loops, nested mixins, etc. The description here is wrong. Compile time is not expected to be linear relative to the input, and the @extend algorithm is definitionally exponential."
CVE-2026-53336 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-02 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmem: layouts: onie-tlv: fix hang on unknown types The EEPROM on my board has a vendor specific entry of type 0x41. When stumbling upon that, this driver hangs in an endless loop. Fix it by keep incrementing the offset on unknown entries, so the loop will eventually stop.
CVE-2026-55595 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2026-07-02 4.7 Medium
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 6.9.13-51 and 7.1.2-26, when providing invalid arguments to the connected-components option an infinite loop will occur. This issue has been fixed in versions 6.9.13-51 and 7.1.2-26.
CVE-2023-2593 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-06-29 5.9 Medium
A flaw exists within the Linux kernel's handling of new TCP connections. The issue results from the lack of memory release after its effective lifetime. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to create a denial of service condition on the system.
CVE-2026-53180 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-28 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: timers/migration: Fix livelock in tmigr_handle_remote_up() tmigr_handle_remote_cpu() skips timer_expire_remote() when cpu == smp_processor_id(), assuming the local softirq path already handled this CPU's timers. This assumption is wrong because jiffies can advance after the handling of the CPU's global timers in run_timer_base(BASE_GLOBAL) and before tmigr_handle_remote() evaluates the expiry times. As a consequence a timer which expires after the CPU local timer wheel advanced and becomes expired in the remote handling is ignored and the callback is never invoked and removed from the timer wheel. What's worse is that fetch_next_timer_interrupt_remote() keeps reporting it as expired, and the event is re-queued with expires == now on each iteration. The goto-again loop spins indefinitely. Fix this by calling timer_expire_remote() unconditionally. That's minimal overhead for the common case as __run_timer_base() returns immediately if there is nothing to expire in the local wheel. CVE-2026-53312 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-27 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/riscv: Remove overflows on the invalidation path Since RISC-V supports a sign extended page table it should support a gather->end of ULONG_MAX, but if this happens it will infinite loop because of the overflow. Also avoid overflow computing the length by moving the +1 to the other side of the <
CVE-2026-52949 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-27 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_shrink() infinite LRU walk on backup failure Apply the same fix as b2ed01e7ad ("drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_swapout() infinite LRU walk on swapout failure") to the ttm_bo_shrink() path. Move del_bulk_move from before the backup to after success only, using ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() since the resource is now unevictable once fully backed up.
CVE-2026-52965 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_swapout() infinite LRU walk on swapout failure When ttm_tt_swapout() fails, the current code calls ttm_resource_add_bulk_move() followed by ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() to restore the resource's bulk_move membership. However, ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() places the resource at the tail of the LRU list which, relative to the walk cursor's hitch node (placed immediately after the resource when it was yielded), puts the resource *in front of the* the hitch. The next list_for_each_entry_continue() from the hitch finds the same resource again, causing an infinite loop. Fix by deferring del_bulk_move to the success path only. On the success path, TTM_TT_FLAG_SWAPPED has just been set by ttm_tt_swapout() but the resource is still tracked in the bulk_move range, so ttm_resource_del_bulk_move()'s !ttm_resource_unevictable() guard would incorrectly skip the removal. Introduce ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() which bypasses that guard.
