CVE-2026-76578 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Freeipa 2026-09-08 9.8 Critical
A flaw was found in FreeIPA. The self-managed OTP token ACI does not require authentication and does not restrict which attributes may be added alongside the token entry. An unauthenticated LDAP client can exploit this, combined with a related flaw in the underlying directory server's ACI evaluation (tracked separately), to create an arbitrary attacker-controlled Kerberos principal and have it added to the administrators group. This allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to obtain genuine FreeIPA administrator-group membership and perform administrative operations against the directory and, on SID-enabled deployments, other IdM services.
CVE-2026-79678 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Freeipa 2026-09-08 8.1 High
A flaw was found in FreeIPA's idp-add command, where insufficiently validated --organization/--base-url input reaches a constrained eval() call before the corresponding LDAP access control check is enforced. This allows any authenticated IPA principal, regardless of privilege level, to enumerate and read the environment variables of the affected server process and to cause denial of service via memory exhaustion.
CVE-2026-14612 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Freeipa 2026-07-29 4.2 Medium
Two off-by-one errors in the FreeIPA ipa-otpd daemon's OAuth2 device authorization handler can cause out-of-bounds memory access when processing an oversized response from a configured external OAuth2/OIDC Identity Provider. An attacker who controls or can man-in-the-middle the IdP endpoint may be able to trigger ipa-otpd to write or read one byte past the end of a fixed-size buffer. Exploitation requires FreeIPA to be configured with an external IdP, attacker control or MITM of that IdP, and a user to initiate the OAuth2 device authorization flow. The most likely impact is limited denial of service affecting the ipa-otpd daemon.
CVE-2008-3274 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Ipa, Freeipa 2026-04-23 N/A
The default configuration of Red Hat Enterprise IPA 1.0.0 and FreeIPA before 1.1.1 places ldap:///anyone on the read ACL for the krbMKey attribute, which allows remote attackers to obtain the Kerberos master key via an anonymous LDAP query.
CVE-2013-0199 1 Redhat 1 Freeipa 2025-04-12 N/A
The default LDAP ACIs in FreeIPA 3.0 before 3.1.2 do not restrict access to the (1) ipaNTTrustAuthIncoming and (2) ipaNTTrustAuthOutgoing attributes, which allow remote attackers to obtain the Cross-Realm Kerberos Trust key via unspecified vectors.
CVE-2013-0336 1 Redhat 1 Freeipa 2025-04-12 N/A
The ipapwd_chpwop function in daemons/ipa-slapi-plugins/ipa-pwd-extop/ipa_pwd_extop.c in the directory server (dirsrv) in FreeIPA before 3.2.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a connection request without a username/dn, related to the 389 directory server.
CVE-2012-5484 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Freeipa 2025-04-11 N/A
The client in FreeIPA 2.x and 3.x before 3.1.2 does not properly obtain the Certification Authority (CA) certificate from the server, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof a join procedure via a crafted certificate.
CVE-2011-3636 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Freeipa 2025-04-11 N/A
Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in the management interface in FreeIPA before 2.1.4 allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of administrators for requests that make configuration changes.
