| A flaw was found in Keycloak. When the logging format is configured to a verbose, user-supplied pattern (such as the pre-defined 'long' pattern), sensitive headers including Authorization and Cookie are disclosed to the logs in cleartext. An attacker with read access to the log files can extract these credentials (e.g., bearer tokens, session cookies) and use them to impersonate users, leading to a full account compromise. | ||||

| openssl-encrypt (pip package, versions <= 1.4.8) fails to sanitize filenames read from untrusted drive data (outside the AES-GCM authenticated manifest) before printing them in the verify-usb command's output. An attacker can plant filenames containing terminal cursor-movement and erase-line control bytes that repaint a forged PASSED verdict on screen, masking actual tamper detection. | morgan is an HTTP request logger middleware for Node.js. In versions prior to 1.12.0, the internal helper that escapes log token values did not neutralize the Unicode line separator characters U+0085 (Next Line), U+2028 (Line Separator), and U+2029 (Paragraph Separator). An unauthenticated remote client can place these characters in an attacker-controlled log token, for example a Basic auth username surfaced through the remote-user token, so that Unicode-aware downstream log processing splits a single request log into multiple logical records. This is a log forging issue (CWE-117) and an incomplete-fix follow-up to CVE-2026-5078, which only addressed ASCII control characters. The issue is fixed in morgan 1.12.0, which extends the escaping set to cover these Unicode line separators. Upgrade to morgan 1.12.0 to remediate. | ||||

| LogTape is an unobtrusive logging library. Prior to 1.3.11, 2.0.14, and 2.1.5, the @logtape/syslog package's escapeStructuredDataValue() function in packages/syslog/src/syslog.ts does not neutralize C0 control characters from U+0000 through U+001F in structured data values, and formatStructuredData() inserts property keys without validating the RFC 5424 SD-NAME grammar. When includeStructuredData is true, an attacker-controlled newline can terminate an RFC 6587 non-transparent TCP syslog frame and make following bytes appear as a forged RFC 5424 record, while a key containing a closing bracket or other forbidden character can terminate or corrupt the structured-data element. Applications that forward attacker-controlled property values or keys can therefore allow forged records with arbitrary hosts, applications, process identifiers, facilities, or severity levels, undermining downstream collector and SIEM integrity. This issue is fixed in versions 1.3.11, 2.0.14, and 2.1.5. | ||||

| Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.4.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2, api/api/middlewares.py decodes the Basic authentication username before credential validation and passes it to the access logger without neutralizing control characters. api/api/alogging.py interpolates that value into the plain-text API log. An unauthenticated attacker can include carriage returns or line feeds in the username to forge entries, obscure activity, or poison systems that consume the plain-text audit log. The JSON log format is not affected because JSON serialization escapes these characters. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Mask pseudo pointer values in verifier logs print_bpf_insn() masks ldimm64 immediates for pointer-bearing pseudo sources when pointer leaks are not allowed, but the mask only covers BPF_PSEUDO_MAP_FD and BPF_PSEUDO_MAP_VALUE. BPF_PSEUDO_MAP_IDX, BPF_PSEUDO_MAP_IDX_VALUE, and BPF_PSEUDO_BTF_ID can also be resolved to kernel pointer values before the verifier log prints the instruction. Include them in the existing pointer classification so the log prints 0x0 instead of the rewritten address. | ||||

| OpenReception's appointment booking software provides an end-to-end encrypted appointment booking platform. Prior to version 1.0.2, the `/api/log` endpoint accepts unauthenticated POST requests, applies no schema validation to the message body, writes attacker-controlled content directly into the application's stdout log, interprets newline characters as real line breaks, and enforces no size or rate limits. Three independent abuse modes follow: log injection (forge log lines that look like legitimate system events), log volume DoS (saturate the logging pipeline at sustained 100+ requests per second of small messages), and oversized-payload submission (100 KB payloads accepted; larger sizes not tested). The most operationally damaging mode is log injection. An attacker can inject lines that an operator scanning logs would mistake for real system errors, mask their own activity behind fake noise, or pollute SIEM alerting rules with crafted false positives. A line such as `[error]: injected admin error` injected from an unauthenticated source is indistinguishable from the application's own error output once written to disk. Version 1.0.2 fixes the issue. | ||||

| OpenWrt is a Linux operating system targeting embedded devices. Prior to 25.12.5, odhcpd writes a DHCPv6 client FQDN option 39 hostname into /tmp/odhcpd.leases through src/statefiles.c statefiles_write_state6() and statefiles_write_state4() without escaping, allowing newline injection of forged lease lines that LuCI rpcd-mod-luci getDHCPLeases displays through htdocs/luci-static/resources/view/status/include/40_dhcp.js and htdocs/luci-static/resources/luci.js dom.append as live HTML in the Active DHCPv6 Leases admin page. | The /v1/upload/sbom endpoint extracts the iss claim from the attacker-supplied JWT with signature verification disabled, then interpolates that string into three log statements before any validation gate. Because the configured log format ("%(asctime)s - %(name)s - %(levelname)s - %(message)s") renders newlines literally, an unauthenticated attacker can forge log records that are byte-for-byte indistinguishable from PIA's genuine "Successfully authenticated project" message. PIA is an authentication broker whose logs are explicitly relied upon for incident response (DESIGN.md ยง5.4 lists "Token verifications" and "Errors" as events to log), so the ability to plant fake auth-success entries directly undermines the audit trail the service exists to produce. | ||||
