CVE-2026-31484 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-22 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/fdinfo: fix OOB read in SQE_MIXED wrap check __io_uring_show_fdinfo() iterates over pending SQEs and, for 128-byte SQEs on an IORING_SETUP_SQE_MIXED ring, needs to detect when the second half of the SQE would be past the end of the sq_sqes array. The current check tests (++sq_head & sq_mask) == 0, but sq_head is only incremented when a 128-byte SQE is encountered, not on every iteration. The actual array index is sq_idx = (i + sq_head) & sq_mask, which can be sq_mask (the last slot) while the wrap check passes. Fix by checking sq_idx directly. Keep the sq_head increment so the loop still skips the second half of the 128-byte SQE on the next iteration.
CVE-2026-31497 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-22 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: clamp SCO altsetting table indices btusb_work() maps the number of active SCO links to USB alternate settings through a three-entry lookup table when CVSD traffic uses transparent voice settings. The lookup currently indexes alts[] with data->sco_num - 1 without first constraining sco_num to the number of available table entries. While the table only defines alternate settings for up to three SCO links, data->sco_num comes from hci_conn_num() and is used directly. Cap the lookup to the last table entry before indexing it so the driver keeps selecting the highest supported alternate setting without reading past alts[].
CVE-2026-31483 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-22 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/syscalls: Add spectre boundary for syscall dispatch table The s390 syscall number is directly controlled by userspace, but does not have an array_index_nospec() boundary to prevent access past the syscall function pointer tables.
CVE-2026-31521 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-22 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: module: Fix kernel panic when a symbol st_shndx is out of bounds The module loader doesn't check for bounds of the ELF section index in simplify_symbols(): for (i = 1; i < symsec->sh_size / sizeof(Elf_Sym); i++) { const char *name = info->strtab + sym[i].st_name; switch (sym[i].st_shndx) { case SHN_COMMON: [...] default: /* Divert to percpu allocation if a percpu var. */ if (sym[i].st_shndx == info->index.pcpu) secbase = (unsigned long)mod_percpu(mod); else /** HERE --> **/ secbase = info->sechdrs[sym[i].st_shndx].sh_addr; sym[i].st_value += secbase; break; } } A symbol with an out-of-bounds st_shndx value, for example 0xffff (known as SHN_XINDEX or SHN_HIRESERVE), may cause a kernel panic: BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ... RIP: 0010:simplify_symbols+0x2b2/0x480 ... Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception This can happen when module ELF is legitimately using SHN_XINDEX or when it is corrupted. Add a bounds check in simplify_symbols() to validate that st_shndx is within the valid range before using it. This issue was discovered due to a bug in llvm-objcopy, see relevant discussion for details [1]. [1] https://lore.kernel.org/linux-modules/20251224005752.201911-1-ihor.solodrai@linux.dev/
CVE-2026-31464 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-22 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ibmvfc: Fix OOB access in ibmvfc_discover_targets_done() A malicious or compromised VIO server can return a num_written value in the discover targets MAD response that exceeds max_targets. This value is stored directly in vhost->num_targets without validation, and is then used as the loop bound in ibmvfc_alloc_targets() to index into disc_buf[], which is only allocated for max_targets entries. Indices at or beyond max_targets access kernel memory outside the DMA-coherent allocation. The out-of-bounds data is subsequently embedded in Implicit Logout and PLOGI MADs that are sent back to the VIO server, leaking kernel memory. Fix by clamping num_written to max_targets before storing it.
CVE-2026-31449 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-22 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: validate p_idx bounds in ext4_ext_correct_indexes ext4_ext_correct_indexes() walks up the extent tree correcting index entries when the first extent in a leaf is modified. Before accessing path[k].p_idx->ei_block, there is no validation that p_idx falls within the valid range of index entries for that level. If the on-disk extent header contains a corrupted or crafted eh_entries value, p_idx can point past the end of the allocated buffer, causing a slab-out-of-bounds read. Fix this by validating path[k].p_idx against EXT_LAST_INDEX() at both access sites: before the while loop and inside it. Return -EFSCORRUPTED if the index pointer is out of range, consistent with how other bounds violations are handled in the ext4 extent tree code.
CVE-2026-33557 1 Apache 1 Kafka 2026-04-22 9.1 Critical
A possible security vulnerability has been identified in Apache Kafka. By default, the broker property `sasl.oauthbearer.jwt.validator.class` is set to `org.apache.kafka.common.security.oauthbearer.DefaultJwtValidator`. It accepts any JWT token without validating its signature, issuer, or audience. An attacker can generate a JWT token from any issuer with the `preferred_username` set to any user, and the broker will accept it. We advise the Kafka users using kafka v4.1.0 or v4.1.1 to set the config `sasl.oauthbearer.jwt.validator.class` to `org.apache.kafka.common.security.oauthbearer.BrokerJwtValidator` explicitly to avoid this vulnerability. Since Kafka v4.1.2 and v4.2.0 and later, the issue is fixed and will correctly validate the JWT token.
CVE-2025-8291 1 Python 1 Cpython 2026-04-22 4.3 Medium
The 'zipfile' module would not check the validity of the ZIP64 End of Central Directory (EOCD) Locator record offset value would not be used to locate the ZIP64 EOCD record, instead the ZIP64 EOCD record would be assumed to be the previous record in the ZIP archive. This could be abused to create ZIP archives that are handled differently by the 'zipfile' module compared to other ZIP implementations. Remediation maintains this behavior, but checks that the offset specified in the ZIP64 EOCD Locator record matches the expected value.
CVE-2026-33809 1 Golang 2 Image, Tiff 2026-04-22 5.3 Medium
A maliciously crafted TIFF file can cause image decoding to attempt to allocate up 4GiB of memory, causing either excessive resource consumption or an out-of-memory error.
CVE-2026-32285 2 Buger, Jsonparser Project 2 Jsonparser, Jsonparser 2026-04-21 7.5 High
The Delete function fails to properly validate offsets when processing malformed JSON input. This can lead to a negative slice index and a runtime panic, allowing a denial of service attack.
CVE-2026-34946 1 Bytecodealliance 1 Wasmtime 2026-04-20 7.5 High
Wasmtime is a runtime for WebAssembly. From 25.0.0 to before 36.0.7, 42.0.2, and 43.0.1, Wasmtime's Winch compiler contains a vulnerability where the compilation of the table.fill instruction can result in a host panic. This means that a valid guest can be compiled with Winch, on any architecture, and cause the host to panic. This represents a denial-of-service vulnerability in Wasmtime due to guests being able to trigger a panic. The specific issue is that a historical refactoring changed how compiled code referenced tables within the table.* instructions. This refactoring forgot to update the Winch code paths associated as well, meaning that Winch was using the wrong indexing scheme. Due to the feature support of Winch the only problem that can result is tables being mixed up or nonexistent tables being used, meaning that the guest is limited to panicking the host (using a nonexistent table), or executing spec-incorrect behavior and modifying the wrong table. This vulnerability is fixed in 36.0.7, 42.0.2, and 43.0.1.
CVE-2026-24679 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-04-18 9.1 Critical
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.22.0, The URBDRC client uses server-supplied interface numbers as array indices without bounds checks, causing an out-of-bounds read in libusb_udev_select_interface. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0.
CVE-2026-31405 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-18 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-net: fix OOB access in ULE extension header tables The ule_mandatory_ext_handlers[] and ule_optional_ext_handlers[] tables in handle_one_ule_extension() are declared with 255 elements (valid indices 0-254), but the index htype is derived from network-controlled data as (ule_sndu_type & 0x00FF), giving a range of 0-255. When htype equals 255, an out-of-bounds read occurs on the function pointer table, and the OOB value may be called as a function pointer. Add a bounds check on htype against the array size before either table is accessed. Out-of-range values now cause the SNDU to be discarded.
CVE-2026-23407 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-18 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: apparmor: fix missing bounds check on DEFAULT table in verify_dfa() The verify_dfa() function only checks DEFAULT_TABLE bounds when the state is not differentially encoded. When the verification loop traverses the differential encoding chain, it reads k = DEFAULT_TABLE[j] and uses k as an array index without validation. A malformed DFA with DEFAULT_TABLE[j] >= state_count, therefore, causes both out-of-bounds reads and writes. CVE-2026-23388 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-18 6.6 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Squashfs: check metadata block offset is within range Syzkaller reports a "general protection fault in squashfs_copy_data" This is ultimately caused by a corrupted index look-up table, which produces a negative metadata block offset. This is subsequently passed to squashfs_copy_data (via squashfs_read_metadata) where the negative offset causes an out of bounds access. The fix is to check that the offset is within range in squashfs_read_metadata. This will trap this and other cases.
CVE-2026-24133 1 Parall 1 Jspdf 2026-04-18 6.5 Medium
jsPDF is a library to generate PDFs in JavaScript. Prior to 4.1.0, user control of the first argument of the addImage method results in denial of service. If given the possibility to pass unsanitized image data or URLs to the addImage method, a user can provide a harmful BMP file that results in out of memory errors and denial of service. Harmful BMP files have large width and/or height entries in their headers, which lead to excessive memory allocation. The html method is also affected. The vulnerability has been fixed in jsPDF@4.1.0.
CVE-2026-25518 1 Cert-manager 1 Cert-manager 2026-04-17 5.9 Medium
cert-manager adds certificates and certificate issuers as resource types in Kubernetes clusters, and simplifies the process of obtaining, renewing and using those certificates. In versions from 1.18.0 to before 1.18.5 and from 1.19.0 to before 1.19.3, the cert-manager-controller performs DNS lookups during ACME DNS-01 processing (for zone discovery and propagation self-checks). By default, these lookups use standard unencrypted DNS. An attacker who can intercept and modify DNS traffic from the cert-manager-controller pod can insert a crafted entry into cert-manager's DNS cache. Accessing this entry will trigger a panic, resulting in denial‑of‑service (DoS) of the cert-manager controller. The issue can also be exploited if the authoritative DNS server for the domain being validated is controlled by a malicious actor. This issue has been patched in versions 1.18.5 and 1.19.3.
CVE-2026-40310 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2026-04-17 5.5 Medium
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Versions below both 7.1.2-19 and 6.9.13-44, contain a heap out-of-bounds write in the JP2 encoder with when a user specifies an invalid sampling index. This issue has been fixed in versions 6.9.13-44 and 7.1.2-19.
CVE-2026-2006 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2026-04-17 8.8 High
Missing validation of multibyte character length in PostgreSQL text manipulation allows a database user to issue crafted queries that achieve a buffer overrun. That suffices to execute arbitrary code as the operating system user running the database. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.2, 17.8, 16.12, 15.16, and 14.21 are affected.
CVE-2026-30997 1 Ffmpeg 1 Ffmpeg 2026-04-17 7.5 High
An out-of-bounds read in the read_global_param() function (libavcodec/av1dec.c) of FFmpeg v8.0.1 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
