| Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Execution with Unnecessary Privileges vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to unauthorized access. | ||||
| CVE-2026-87506 | 1 Google | 1 Chrome | 2026-09-09 | 8.3 High |
| Privilege elevation in WebUI in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) | ||||
| CVE-2026-18608 | 2 Red Hat, Redhat | 2 Red Hat Openshift Ai (rhoai), Openshift Ai | 2026-09-08 | 8.7 High |
| A flaw was found in the Data Science Pipelines Operator (DSPO). The operator's ClusterRole, which defines its permissions, includes extensive privileges beyond what is necessary for its operation. These excessive permissions, such as the ability to execute commands within pods and manage cluster-wide roles, could be exploited. If the DSPO pod were compromised, an attacker could leverage these privileges to gain full administrative control over the entire Kubernetes cluster. | ||||
| CVE-2026-69409 | 1 Microsoft | 1 Sharepoint Server | 2026-09-08 | 6.5 Medium |
| Execution with unnecessary privileges in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to disclose information over a network. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80238 | 1 Dell | 2 Secure Connect Gateway Appliance, Secure Connect Gateway Application | 2026-09-08 | 9.3 Critical |
| Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Execution with Unnecessary Privileges vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Protection mechanism bypass. This vulnerability is considered critical because a low-privileged operator with SSH access to the SCG host can gain root-level access to the host without requiring a password by leveraging the exposed Docker socket. Additionally, an attacker who compromises a service running within the orchestrator container can access the same socket and escape the container boundary to obtain host-level control. Dell recommends that customers upgrade at the earliest opportunity. | ||||
| CVE-2026-87053 | 2026-09-08 | 4.2 Medium | ||
| A flaw was found in operator-sdk-builder. Due to an oversight in the Containerfile configuration, the final built container image runs with root privileges by default. This increases the attack surface of the container, as any process executed within it will have elevated permissions. If a malicious actor compromises the container, they could leverage these root privileges to perform unauthorized actions, potentially leading to a broader system compromise. | ||||
| CVE-2026-87065 | 2026-09-08 | 2.6 Low | ||
| A flaw was found in konflux-operator-tasks. Tekton task steps within this component run with root privileges without sufficient security hardening. This lack of defense-in-depth controls, such as restricted capabilities or disabled privilege escalation, could potentially allow an attacker to escalate privileges or perform unauthorized actions if another vulnerability is exploited within the root-run process. | ||||
| CVE-2026-83534 | 1 Dalibo | 1 Postgresql Anonymizer | 2026-09-08 | 6.4 Medium |
| PostgreSQL Anonymizer contains a vulnerability in the anon.anonymize_database_parallel() function that allows the owner of a table to run arbitrary code with superuser privilege. The issue is fixed in PostgreSQL Anonymizer 3.2.0 and later versions | ||||
| CVE-2026-64391 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-04 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: use opener credentials for ADS I/O Alternate data streams are stored as xattrs. Unlike regular file I/O, their read and write paths therefore call VFS xattr helpers which recheck inode permissions and LSM policy using the current task credentials. Run ADS I/O with the credentials captured when the SMB handle was opened. | ||||
| CVE-2026-64399 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-04 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: add permission checks for FSCTL_DUPLICATE_EXTENTS_TO_FILE The FSCTL_DUPLICATE_EXTENTS_TO_FILE arm of smb2_ioctl() overwrites the destination file's data via vfs_clone_file_range() with neither the share-level KSMBD_TREE_CONN_FLAG_WRITABLE check nor a per-handle fp->daccess check that the other write-bearing arms carry. A client can overwrite destination data on a read-only share, or from a handle opened with only FILE_WRITE_ATTRIBUTES (which still yields an FMODE_WRITE filp). FILE_WRITE_ATTRIBUTES-only destination handle overwrote the file's data via the clone. Add both checks, matching the FSCTL_SET_SPARSE permission fix; require FILE_WRITE_DATA since this writes data. | ||||
| CVE-2026-72654 | 1 Elastic | 1 Kibana | 2026-09-02 | 6.5 Medium |
| Execution with Unnecessary Privileges (CWE-250) in the Kibana machine learning feature can lead to information disclosure via Privilege Abuse (CAPEC-122). An operation available to users holding only read access to the machine learning feature was performed with an internal service identity rather than the identity of the requesting user. Such a user could therefore receive data from Elasticsearch indices they are not authorized to read. No Elasticsearch cluster or index privileges are required. | ||||
| CVE-2026-24183 | 1 Nvidia | 1 Cumulus Linux | 2026-09-02 | 7.8 High |
| NVIDIA Cumulus Linux contains a vulnerability in the user management component, where an unprivileged user could use improper privilege management on the system. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to escalation of privileges. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74952 | 1 Mozilla | 2 Firefox, Thunderbird | 2026-09-01 | 8.8 High |
| Privilege escalation in the Application Update component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Thunderbird 154, Firefox ESR 153.2, and Thunderbird 153.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-12505 | 1 Redhat | 4 Cifs-utils, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 1 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in the cifs-utils package where the cifs.upcall helper fails to securely drop its root privileges before looking up user information inside a user-controlled environment. A local, low privileged attacker can exploit this by using a crafted request_key payload to trick the root-owned helper into entering a custom environment (namespace) containing a malicious NSS module. This forces the system to load the attacker's controlled NSS Module and configuration, allowing them to execute arbitrary commands as the root user, elevating their privileges and fully compromising the system. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59133 | 1 Microsoft | 3 Microsoft Hpc Pack 2019, Windows App, Windows App Client For Windows Desktop | 2026-08-28 | 8.8 High |
| Execution with unnecessary privileges in Microsoft High Performance Computing (HPC) Pack allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. | ||||
| CVE-2025-13911 | 2 Inductiveautomation, Microsoft | 2 Ignition, Windows | 2026-08-28 | 6.4 Medium |
| Ignition by Inductive Automation, when installed with default OS service account settings, may expose the host system to an elevated code execution risk via the gateway backup restore functionality. An authenticated user with Gateway Administrator privileges can import a malicious gateway backup (.gwbk) file containing crafted project resources, scripts, or modules, resulting in code execution on the host system. This affects both Windows and Linux installations. On Windows, default installations often run the Ignition service as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, resulting in code execution with full local system privileges. On Linux, default installations commonly run the Ignition service as root or with elevated privileges. Specific privilege level depends on installation configuration. | ||||
| CVE-2026-18982 | 2 Red Hat, Redhat | 2 Red Hat Openshift Ai (rhoai), Openshift Ai | 2026-08-27 | 8.8 High |
| A flaw was found in the RHOAI training-operator. This vulnerability allows a user with standard edit or admin roles in any Kubernetes namespace to escalate their privileges. Through the creation of training jobs, an attacker can impersonate service accounts, access the host filesystem, and potentially execute arbitrary code remotely. This issue arises from the aggregation of training job permissions onto native Kubernetes edit and admin ClusterRoles, coupled with unrestricted PodTemplateSpec passthrough. | ||||
| CVE-2026-71846 | 1 Redhat | 3 Acm, Advanced Cluster Management For Kubernetes, Insights-client | 2026-08-27 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in insights-client. The component's ServiceAccount is bound to a ClusterRole granting cluster-wide secrets get, list, and watch permissions, while the code only requires access to a single specific Secret. This excessive privilege means that a compromise of the insights-client pod or ServiceAccount token would grant an attacker read access to all Secrets across the hub cluster, including managed-cluster kubeconfigs and other sensitive credentials. | ||||
| CVE-2026-72508 | 1 Redhat | 2 Acm, Advanced Cluster Management For Kubernetes | 2026-08-27 | 9.9 Critical |
| A flaw was found in the multicloud-operators-subscription component of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM). This vulnerability allows a namespace-admin tenant to perform a confused-deputy attack by creating Subscription Custom Resources (CRs) that leverage a highly privileged ServiceAccount (SA). This enables the tenant to deploy arbitrary cluster-scoped resources, leading to privilege escalation and potential arbitrary code execution across the cluster. | ||||
